Life Coaching
Are you navigating major change? Questioning what you want and what you stand for? Knowing there’s more to life? Constantly churning big thoughts, but never seeming to get to the decisions and actions to get things the way you want them?
Personal coaching provides a structure for mapping out what you really want and how to get it. You get a sounding board, a supporter, an ally – and sometimes a kick up the backside!
How does it work?
Coaching is a personalised form of professional development. It differs from consulting and mentoring and many types of therapy, because it makes you the expert. Coaching helps find the solutions that are most meaningful to you. You define your goals. You agree the critical path to achieve them.
Oak Tree Coaching consists of one confidential (usually telephone) 90 minute coaching session per month, plus email contact and personalised assignments. Coaching is tailored to individual priorities and looks different for everyone. However, you can expect to experience a range of approaches which will enable you to:
- Set stretching goals for change
- See your current situation more clearly
- Get clear on what you want, identify options and make clear plans
- Examine and overcome barriers to success
- Maintain self-belief, accountability, and motivation
Commitment
You don’t get anything from a great coaching experience without a significant commitment. Don’t sign up unless you are prepared to:
- Invest at least 4 hours per month in the coaching itself and the work it generates.
- Boldly examine your strengths and limitations and hear what others have to say about you.
- Face head on the underlying fears, habits and self-limiting beliefs that may block success.
- Give 100% to achieve success - be enthusiastic, engaged and pro-active.
- Be open-minded and try new ways of learning, new concepts and different ways of doing things.
A Client's Feedback
“Working with Oak Tree Coaching has been perfect for this moment of transition in my life. It helped me to focus on what’s most important to me and really challenge myself on why I let other stuff creep in and take over. I got a lot from being so committed to self discovery and from the discipline and accountability of the process. I’m more self-aware, less restless and self-critical, and have more confidence in what I know and feel. I liked the way my coach was fluent in big picture personal growth, and yet at the same time very grounded in my business realities and able to offer practical support to help me more effective at work. I cannot recommend Oak Tree highly enough to anyone who wants to be happier, make sense of themselves and get the best out of a transition.”
